Resident Evil Requiem is a paid single-player horror game from Capcom, and we compare its PC prices. What you pay for Resident Evil Requiem
The game is paid, with no free version. Capcom’s own studio, CAPCOM Co., Ltd., both made and published Requiem, launching it on 27 February 2026; on PC it runs on Windows. Its premise is short and grim: a survival-horror story about escaping death, built to keep you tense from start to finish. With an ESRB rating of Mature, it is aimed at adult players.
Steam sells it as a finished game. Horror fans on Steam have been generous: 96 % of 185,100 reviews were positive on 2 October 2026, with 4,099 players inside the game at once on that date.
A “free download” of a brand-new Capcom game is a red flag. Sites that offer one distribute unlicensed copies and commonly bundle malware with them. Stick with authorized stores, a Steam Families copy, or a promotion the store itself publishes on its own site.
Can you play Requiem on someone else’s purchase?
The Steam Families route
Resident Evil Requiem’s Steam listing carried the Family Sharing label when we read its store data on 6 October 2026. If someone in your Steam Family owns it, the game appears in the shared family library and you can start it from there. The licence remains the owner’s; your saves and achievements are yours alone. Only one person can use that copy at any moment, which matters less here because Steam lists it as single-player only. Before you clear an evening for it, make sure Requiem really shows up among the shared titles in your family library.
