It does: Farming Simulator 25 is a paid release from GIANTS Software, the studio that both makes and publishes the series. It launched on 12 November 2024. You build up and run a farm of your own, either alone or together with other players in online co-op.
Treat any “free download” of GIANTS’ farm sim as a red flag. Such sites spread unlicensed copies, and those files are a frequent source of malware. Tractors and fields are only safe to get through licensed sellers, a household Steam Family, or a giveaway the seller confirms on its own page.
On 2 October 2026 Steam showed 87 % of 58,647 reviews as positive, and 25,313 players were farming at the same time that day.

Farming on a relative’s copy via Steam Families
When we checked on 6 October 2026, Steam listed Farming Simulator 25 for Family Sharing. In Steam Families, the household feature on Steam, a game one member has bought can be started by the others from the family library. The owner keeps the licence; you get separate saves and your own achievements. The limit is one player per copy at any moment, and for a co-op farm that is the deciding point: a borrowed copy cannot join the owner’s multiplayer session while they are using it.
